Go Speed Racer!

Saturday we went to Madelyn's cousin Kaden's 3rd birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. This was her first time there and she loved it! She kept asking to "drive" all the rides, and thought she was pretty cool driving. Her favorite was the 'lel-low' school bus, probably do to her fascination with the song The Wheels on the Bus, which she sings repetitively all day long. But she is just so precious singing, that even after 596th time of singing the song with her, it's still adorable.

Bow Head

Madelyn went shopping this weekend and got some new bows. She liked them all so much, she couldn't decide which one best complimented her outfit, so she wore them all!

Family Pictures

No family visit is ever complete with out a few family pictures. All Tosi's were accounted for except Vanessa and Nick

A Zooriffic Time

Once the clouds split and the sun began to shine, we decide a day the Zoo would be fun. We picked the hottest, the steamiest, and muggiest day to be outside. My hair began to fro before I even manged to make it from the front door to the car; and it only continued to gain height and volume as the day went on. The highlight experience was an exhibit called Touch that had sand sharks and stingrays that you could touch and feed in a large shallow pool. Madelyn thought this was literally the coolest thing and it took everything to keep her out of the pool while she was splashing around.

Berea the Beautiful

I was born and lived in Berea Ohio for a while and then stayed their for the summers with my grandparents. Berea is an old quarry town, that turned all the sandstone pits into beautiful lakes in the Metro Park system. While we were visiting there, Michael got to try out his new "toy", a new lens for his camera. These are some pictures taken at the down town Coe Lake.

My 30th Birthday!

I have been told constantly by my sister Vanessa, that this day would eventually come in my life (at least much sooner than her). Now that I have reached the top of the hill I can't believe how great the view is! I have so much to be thankful for, a wonderful husband and a beautiful daughter and I got to celebrate it with my family in Ohio. You would think that it was such a momentous birthday that I should have been able to celebrate it by doing what ever I would want to do. But because I love my husband so much, I went him, my dad and my brothers Nick and Vince to the NFL Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton Ohio. I am usually the history buff that just gets tickled pink to go to a museum, but Michael was like a kid in a candy store! Although , I think he got the biggest kick out seeing Madelyn with a Hall of Fame helmet on.

We ended the day with an exploratory drive through Amish Country in monsoon-like rain. We did have the pleasure of stopping at an Amish CHEESE Factory! Those of you who know about my cheese addition, know that I did indeed have a fabulous birthday because of the delicious stop we made there. We sampled just about everything and brought home a couple different slices that tempted our palettes and the pickles were incredible. No joke Madelyn has developed a pickle fetish and she finished an entire jar of sweet garlic dill pickles by herself!
When we got back to the house, there was a little surprise dinner for me at Dante and Monica's house. It was so nice to sit back, relax and let all the kiddos play with each other.
All in all I really did have a great 30th birthday! Hey, Vern only 7 more years to go!

A Hair Raising experience!

One of the places we got to visit while in Cleveland was the Lake Erie Science Center. It rained all day, but we all had a blast playing around there. Madelyn was totally enthralled with the exhibit "Bubble Mania" and she enjoyed trying to make bubbles with Daddy. After playing so hard, my sweet little girl couldn't fight the nap anymore and finally feel a sleep for much needed nap. But that didn't keep mom and dad from still playing. I got to go into an electromagnetic tube and the force of static electricty caused the pom-pom they give you to rise, as a well as our hair. Notice how "puffy" my hair was, too bad that it didn't go down after that!

Trip to Cleveland

At the end of August, Michael, Myself and Madelyn took a week long trip to Berea, Ohio. I may refer to it as my homeland ( I was born there), Michael refers to as "Yankee Land", but either way the city that once called the "Mistake on the Lake" provided be a great trip. We were able to stay with Nonna and Madelyn got to meet her Bisnonna for the first time. My dad, Daneen and all the kids drove up from Virginia and met us Cleveland. The first day we were there it was picture perfect weather mid 70's. So we took a river and Lake Erie cruise of down Cleveland on the Good Time III. I was very excited to take Madelyn on this boat ride, because I can remember every summer my grandparents bringing me down town for this cruise. Madelyn was more excited to see the airplanes practicing for an air show, but did find the horn on the boat amusing.

We also go to visit with a lot of family members while were there. Daneen's youngest sister had an engagement party and while at the party Madelyn for the first time decide that she big enough to climb up a swing set and go down the slide by herself. She is quite pleased with her accomplishments!

Our First Post
Well, we have finally caught up with the rest of friends and created a blog site. With family scattered across the country, we thought this would be a great way to keep in contact with our many friends and family.

Madelyn is now an official "Princess with a Purpose" and just loves her new Prep school shirt. She thinks its fun to twirl around in her "dress" until she gets dizzy, falls down and then gets up and starts all over again. She is so funny to watch and she what joy she finds in simply things.
